I saw a team led by an intelligent, insightful, and compassionate lady. We discussed the need to get rid of scammers who want to take advantage of this incredible platform.Īt the end of this insightful meeting, I was convinced that with Hayden and her team managing Upwork, #freelancers and clients on the platform are in a safe hand. It should be a competition of competence and not of geography. I mentioned how challenging it is being a freelancer from a minority region, especially the location discrimination by some clients and how it can be resolved to put everyone on level ground to compete. Myself, Hayden Brown, and Montserrat Sanz discussed several issues, including some of the challenges faced by Upwokers in #africa and #india.

She wanted to hear more about my inspiring journey, and, of course, get feedback from my experience on the beautiful Upwork platform.
